Stand 8.E96 will also see the release of the Enterprise version of ANEMAN. This does not require Merging equipment to be present and is intended for larger installations and system integrators where additional features are required. With the Enterprise version, Merging is going even further in network management and configuration by providing support and assistance in network engineering.
This version will be charged on subscription that includes an annual software maintenance programme. This is also applicable to facilities with larger Merging installations where much more complex routing and management is required. ANEMAN is supported by a range of Virtual Audio Device drivers for Mac, PC and Linux which can be integrated into third party solutions.
ANEMAN has been shortlisted in the System Automation & Control category of the IABM Design & Innovation Awards 2017, with the results being announced at the reception in the RAI Emerald Lounge on Saturday 16th September.
In a separate announcement, DirectOut Technologies confirmed their support for ANEMAN as a preferred network management solution for the company’s MONTONE.42 Audio over IP bridge. This will be shown in Hall 8 on stand E85.
Merging is proud to be participating again in the IP Showcase (Room E106) interoperability demonstration which was such a success at NAB. This features over 50 vendors with over 100 different devices demonstrating the real-world possibilities unleashed by the adoption of SMPTE ST2110 draft standards and the AMWA NMOS specifications. This major event has the support of many industry bodies such as AES, AIMS, EBU, IABM, MNA and VSF and will be reinforced by a full programme of presentations and education sessions running throughout IBC. The Merging Hapi, equipped with a MADI expansion card, acts as a 72 channel ST2110-30 gateway taking flows to and from various other equipment on the network, such as video cameras, mixing consoles, intercom panels, video switchers and multiviewers.
Pyramix 10/Ovation 6 brought 3D panning to the workflow and the latest software release builds on this by introducing the b<>com suite of plug-ins which are particularly suited to ambisonic and binaural production for VR projects. Control of immersive panning can be enhanced with 3D mouse products from 3DConnexion. Windows10 support now extends to the MassCore products as well as Native and the latest MacBook Bootcamp version performs well with a Win10/P11 Native combination.
A programme of enhancing third party product integration is well under way with more to come, but this release has significantly improved the performance with Avid and Blackmagic Design products as well as improvements in Album Publishing, Media Manager and mixer automation.
Last but not least, the RAVENNA booth (8.F57) will host the Merging ZMan, a new compact and powerful RAVENNA circuit board which will be offered to OEM partners, bringing the advantages of a networked solution to audio components of all sizes. Fully AES67 compliant, this component can drastically cut development time for manufacturers wanting to enter the AoIP world which is developing so rapidly.
