To be able to provide professional tools, a playout server and show sequencer must strive to provide seamless integration between versions and systems. Ovation MassCore and Ovation Native engines allow users and integrators to be able to scale their Ovation solution to fit any requirement and budget.

Ovation MassCore

vs.

Ovation Native

Ovation MassCore contains what is truly the most powerful audio engine in the world. Able to process up to 384 discreet Inputs and Outputs (768 simultaneous), with latencies as low as 1.33ms, MassCore is also able to work at samplerates up to 384 kHz and DSD64/128/256.. For engineers who need the best, Ovation MassCore is the ultimate choice.

All the playout, mixing and control capabilities of the MassCore system, but without the need for dedicated Merging I/O. When budgets dictate a smaller scale solution or system requirements are such that the power of MassCore is not essential, Ovation Native is the perfect answer

Live Mixing with No Console

The World’s Most Flexible Effects Send

With the power of the MassCore engine, Ovation MassCore provides one of the largest console engines in the world, without the requirement for a surface and nothing more than a 2U rack-mounted chassis. Already being used in major events and installations the world over, mixing with Ovation MassCore has as many if not even more possible uses than a conventional mixing console.

Just like the MassCore system, Ovation Native (powered by ASIO connectivity) is able to manage, mix and affect live inputs along with the playback information. While ASIO may not represent a low enough latency for raw live input mixing, Ovation Native is still the perfect solution for outboard effects processing of signals. Free up Aux sends on your console and automate reverbs and other atmospheric changes even when you are using the Ovation Native.

MassCore and RAVENNA

Native with RAVENNA

The Native connection to all Ovation MassCore systems and Merging Audio interfaces is now RAVENNA IP Audio. This means that rather than simply create a linear connection between DAW and I/O the MassCore is able to connect directly into a RAVENNA AoIP network, making Ovation the most powerful networked playout server in the world.

Native users won’t miss out on RAVENNA technology, as Merging have also developed a Virtual RAVENNA driver for use with Ovation. Whether MassCore or Native, RAVENNA implementation means that audio connectivity in the Ovation world has truly become For the Networking Age.
