Vote For Pyramix!

We won in 2009. Let’s make sure to stuff the ballot box and win again!

It was a huge pat on the shoulder for us here at Merging when we won the Resolution Magazine “Daw of the Year” award in 2009. We beat out stiff competition to ensure that we were able to wear the crown proudly, and it felt really good!... Now, we want to do it again.

Pyramix Virtual Studio has been nominated for the same award one more time! We are up for the 2011 “Best Daw” award for Resolution Magazine and we need your help to make sure that we win. So, tell your friends, tell your family, tell anyone you pass on the street (as long as they are a registered reader of the Resolution magazine), that they need to vote for our DAW and help to secure us the title for another glorious year.

Only registered readers of Resolution magazine are eligible to vote. The Voting page can be accessed after logging in with the unique reader code and postcode in the My Subscription section at www.resolutionmag.com

Merging in the News

Two great products, two great write ups!

This month, Pro Sound News Europe will be sending out two issues and we are in them both!

Pro Sound News – LIVE 2011

Pyramix has a great feature (and a great advertisement as well!) in this edition, with a brilliant write up of our DAW being used to record, edit, mix and master the 120yr anniversary concert at the famous Carnegie Hall in New York, USA.

Pro Sound News – July 2011 (Theatre Technology Uncovered)

Ovation is the one being found in this month’s feature about all the cool new technology making the job of theatre technicians much more fun. We have a good positioning in the article and another great (if I do say so myself) advertisement to draw attention to us.

New Merging Staff

Chris Hollebone joins Merging as the new Sales Operations Manager... h.u.g.e.

How amazing is this one. Chris Hollebone, of Euphonix Europe fame and glory, has walked over to the Merging camp to begin his new job of managing our international dealer network. Chris’s history in the professional audio market goes back decades. He has been at Sony as a General Manager for the Entire EMEA Pro Audio Section. He then held the post of Director of European Operations at DTS for five years. Initially doing cinema related products but latterly was involved in marketing of DTS consumer formats and discussions with broadcasters on surround solutions. After leaving DTS in 2002, he spent 4 yrs doing freelance consulting and journalism (with a brief stints at Harrison and Harris Grant in the UK). Finally, he ended up at his last post of Operations Director at Euphonix (now AVID) in 2006, where he was in charge of EMEA sales.

Chris brings to the table years of management and sales experience, a no-nonsense model for relationship building and work. Most of all, he is an incredibly easy person to discuss ideas, concerns and thoughts with.

We are very pleased to have Chris in the Merging Team! Welcome!!

Merging User Story: 3

The National Music Theatre in Amsterdam was the perfect way to show how Ovation is getting applause every time...

The Merging user story of Bob Ludwig with it's wonderful video interview was a lovely first step forward in our opinion.

And the Stationhouse UK is a great example of using the same product for a completely different application.

But this month, we thought it prudent to feature another one of our products: Ovation.
For this, we visited with the guys at the Het MusiekTheatre in Amsterdam, NL to see how they are getting on with their new Ovation systems..
