June 2010 - Issue 13

We hope that you all have been enjoying a prosperous year thus far. While we all impatiently would love to see the end of the financial crisis, we are working hard to keep giving you the tools to stay competitive in these tough times. Whew! Also, right on track is our annual pilgrimage around the world to the major shows we attend each year. With NAB in Las Vegas and the AES in London out of the way, we are now getting ready for the IBC show later this year in Amsterdam which will be the occasion for some major annoucements on our part.

IBC 2010 Conference in Amsterdam

With NAB and AES shows out of the way, we can now eagerly await our yearly forray to the land of clogs and tulips.. oh and beer, lets not forget the beer...

From September 9th until the 14th, 2010, join Merging Technologies at the RAI exhibition center in Amsterdam, on stand 6.C29 for the world’s first presentation of some products and technology that are expected to make a lot of noise (or better said very little!), lots of improved software and a chance to meet up with the Merging team for a well deserved drink or two.

On show this year at the IBC:

  • Pyramix V7.0
  • VCube V3.0
  • Ovation V2.0
  • New Technologies and I/O solutions (sorry we can’t say more at this time)

New Merging knowledge forum

The Merging Cellar!

Following a user request and because we have so many talented users, we thought it was time to open The Merging Cellar, a place where everyone can share their "tasting" experiences and discuss everything from technique, artistic matters or even business practices, but not necessarily about Pyramix.

For years we have known that our esteemed user base is the depository of a gigantic wealth of information. Not only about how to operate a Pyramix, VCube or Ovation system, but also, and sometimes more importantly, on subjects such as workflow optimization, tips and tricks for different industry applications, and the best way to get pristine sounding products to your clients.

To help get this knowledge to be shared between all of you, we have created the Merging Cellar (The Swiss team love their wine)! On this section of the forum, we hope that all of you will get on there and share interesting things you have learned about anything to do with the industry you work in and the tools you use. The Merging team will be making regular contributions as well!

The Merging Cellar can be found at forum.merging.com/viewforum.php?f=55
